I have served in full-time ministry many years, including the past several years focused specifically on mission mobilization and church engagement. Throughout that time, my desire has been to see every church, pastor, and believer place their "yes" on the table, to be willing to go anywhere, at any time, and do anything for the glory of God. Helping people live fully surrendered to Christ and discover their role in God's mission has been a consistent passion and focus of my ministry.
Over the years, I have also gained a deeper appreciation for the strategic role of the global Church in fulfilling the Great Commission. Today, the majority of Christians live in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, placing them in close geographic, cultural, and linguistic proximity to many of the world's unreached peoples. This reality presents tremendous opportunities for partnership and challenges us to think more holistically about missions. Rather than viewing the task primarily through a Western lens, we have the opportunity to work alongside the global Church, leveraging the unique strengths and access God has given believers around the world to see the nations reached with the gospel.
Several convictions have emerged that have ultimately led to the creation of Psalm 67 Collective.
The first conviction centers on the Church and its role in missions. Too often there is confusion regarding the unique responsibilities of the sending church, mission organization, and local church on the field. We desire to bring clarity to these relationships and help each function according to its purpose. At the same time, we believe the goal of missions must extend beyond activity and programs. The ultimate aim is the establishment and strengthening of healthy, enduring, biblical churches. Every aspect of mission work should serve that objective.
The second conviction involves the faithful stewardship of time, talent, and resources. The task of reaching the nations is too important to approach casually. We want to thoughtfully evaluate opportunities, partnerships, and ministry initiatives to ensure we are investing in the places where God is working and where long-term impact can be made. This includes carefully considering the benefits and costs of short-term trips, global partnerships, and ongoing ministry efforts.
We also recognize that many organizations are serving the nations exceptionally well, and we are grateful for their work. One reason for establishing Psalm 67 Collective, is to create a long-term platform that provides both flexibility and continuity. It allows us to thoughtfully pursue strategic partnerships while maintaining consistent relationships with supporters and preserving momentum in the initiatives God entrusts to us. By establishing Psalm 67 Collective, we are creating a foundation for sustainable, long-term ministry that can adapt as opportunities arise while remaining faithful to the mission God has given us.
At its core, Psalm 67 Collective exists to help churches and believers engage God's global mission with greater clarity, intentionality, and stewardship so that every nation might hear and every church might faithfully participate in the Great Commission.
